Adapa Advisory launches in the UK and South Africa

Adapa Advisory has been established to provide strategic insights and pragmatic advice to help financial institutions enhance their business performance in the post trade and securities services arena.

Commenting on the launch, Mark Kerns, Chief Executive Officer says:

Its an exciting time to be launching this venture in the UK and South Africa with my co-founders Richard Barnsdale and Fiona Green who bring deep industry, subject matter and geographical expertise to the business.

Adapa Advisory will work with clients in two main areas:

Strategic Advisory

The post trade and securities services area is faced with constant change through market development, technology advancement, flexible working models, regulation and many other factors. Adapa Advisory helps clients achieve optimal solutions to these demands with access to in depth post trade and securities services industry experience ensuring deliverables are focused, timely and action orientated.

Adapa Advisory specifically focuses on banks, asset managers, pension funds and market infrastructure as well as emerging and developed technology companies that are engaged or planning to engage in the post trade and securities services sector including specific strength and experience working with organisations doing business into and out of Africa.

Adapa Advisory aims to develop long term relationships with clients and remain engaged to ensure the success of outcomes over time either on an advisory or non-executive basis as required.

Executive Resourcing and Search

Given the demands of the market, innovation, changing business models and new approaches to resourcing the demand for talent is exceptional.

Adapa Advisory together with partners has access to a network of resources with deep management and subject matter expertise that can be deployed on short and longer term mandates depending on clients demand as well as fulfil non-executive roles at a corporate or functional level that add independence to internal structures. Additionally, in Africa, executive search services will be provided leveraging relationships both within the continent and internationally identifying candidates and matching them to client demand where there is a need for full time deployment of high quality, experienced individuals within the client organisation.

Mark Kerns, Chief Executive Officer commented:

The impact of industry change, financial pressure, new working practices and lifestyle considerations has resulted in a variety of adjustments to operating models. This has led to large numbers of experienced post trade and securities services resources either leaving the industry or wanting to contribute in a more dynamic, flexible manner. The business model is designed to fulfil the client need for focused, timely, action orientated deliverables from individuals with deep subject matter and leadership expertise whilst also offering team members the opportunity to contribute to the industry in a manner that is in line with contemporary resourcing approaches.”
